Prohibits and regulates the discovery and disclosure of immigration status; prohibits police officers, peace officers, school resource officers, probation agencies, state entities, state employees, and municipal corporations from questioning individuals regarding their citizenship or immigration status; regulates the disclosure of information relating to immigration status.
Relates to school climate and codes of conduct on school property and disciplinary action following violation of such codes of conduct; makes conforming amendments.
Requires owners of housing accommodations subject to rent registration to file an additional statement at three month intervals, until the unit is occupied.
Requires that any limited liability company who files a rent registration statement shall include a list of all members of such limited liability company and each member's ownership interest.
Prohibits landlords from restricting the installation of appliances or fixtures by tenants; provides that the landlord is not compelled to change utilities for such installation; prohibits surcharge where tenant pays utilities directly to provider.
Requires manufactured home park owners to provide a written justification for rent increases in excess of three percent of the current rent; provides that increases in costs to justify such rent increase for ordinary maintenance or repair to meet the warranty of habitability obligations must be shown to be necessary.
Authorizes certain policies issued by a risk retention group not chartered in this state but which is registered with the superintendent of financial services under the federal liability risk retention act of 1986, comprised entirely of organizations to which contributions are eligible for deduction under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and which qualifies as a charitable risk pool under section 501(n) of the internal revenue code.
Requires insurers to provide coverage for tattooing of the nipple-areolar complex pursuant to or as part of breast reconstruction surgery if such tattooing is performed by a physician or other health care practitioner working within their scope of practice.
Provides that the submission of claims for services provided by home care agencies shall be done on forms approved by the centers for Medicare and Medicaid services.
Defines the term "mass shooting" for purposes of access to emergency funding as a shooting incident involving one or more firearms, rifles or shotguns during which four or more people, other than the individual or individuals alleged to have committed such incident, were injured or killed.
Suspends all unnecessary travel to states that have discriminatory laws for access to women's reproductive health services, including but not limited to, limitations on access to abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
Authorizes Lawrence Ecker to receive certain service credit with the New York state and local employees' retirement system for his time as a state supreme court judge from approximately June 2021 through June 2022.
Expands the permitted use of proceeds from the lease of lands located at the state university of New York at Purchase to support current full-time faculty positions.
