Establishes an advanced coursework and examination access program to reimburse exam fees associated with the administration of an advanced coursework exam; defines terms; requires authorized schools to inform students and parents of all advanced coursework programs offered, their cost-free status, and the potential benefits of their successful completion as it relates to college credit and other academic opportunities; makes related provisions.
Requires the use of a fire-resistant blanket, bag or container when charging a bicycle with electric assist or an electric scooter; requires sellers of such vehicles to include a fire-resistant blanket, bag, or container with the sale of each e-bike or e-scooter; establishes fines.
Requires property/casualty insurance policies to state the types and causes of damage that are covered by such policy; requires such information to be provided at or near the beginning of such policy.
Deems human remains to be abandoned if not acted upon within a certain period of time and authorizes the person in possession of such remains to dispose of them.
Requires micromobility devices, mopeds, and bicycles with electric assist to have a red tag attached to the charging cord which states to unplug when not in use.
Requires standards for the new construction of commercial electric vehicle charging stations to require such stations to have an external cutoff switch.
Expands the types of batteries included in the rechargeable battery recycling program to include certain car batteries and requires consumers to pay a five dollar incentive payment when purchasing a new rechargeable battery if the consumer does not return an old rechargeable battery for recycling.
Relates to the sale and possession of self-defense spray devices in the state; removes the requirement that only authorized dealers and pharmacists could sell such devices; permits shipping of such devices within the state; repeals certain provisions of law relating thereto.
Ensures that staff in libraries are able to curate collections, services, and programming that reflect the interests of all people of the community that the library serves.
Prohibits public employers from diminishing health insurance benefits provided to retirees and their dependents or the contributions such employer makes for such health insurance coverage below the level of such benefits or contributions made on behalf of such retirees and dependents by the public employer as of December 31, 2021.
Prohibits public utilities from using funds or being reimbursed by funds raised from ratepayers for contributions or gifts to political candidates, trade associations, public charities, and lobbyists, and for certain travel, entertainment and educational expenditures.
