Posthumously honoring the life and service of United States Army Air Forces Staff Sergeant Eugene J. Darrigan who was laid to rest in his hometown of Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 24, 2025
Commending John J. Ivers posthumously upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Liberty Medal, the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the New York State Senate
Commending John T. Golden, Sr., posthumously, upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Liberty Medal, the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the New York State Senate
Enacts the "child survivor privacy act"; provides protections for child victims and child witnesses; restricts information to the public regarding a child witness or child victim's identity or proceeding; defines child witness; provides that whenever practical, the same prosecutor, advocate, and/or social worker shall handle all aspects of a case involving an alleged child victim.
Allows victim impact statements in New York state be video recorded; requires that the members of the parole board and all presiding commissioners for such hearing review all relevant victim impact statements prior to the conduct of a parole hearing and to sign a written attestation confirming that they have done so.
Bars a person who is convicted of a hate crime from attending any SUNY or CUNY institution; provides for the expulsion of a student who is convicted of hate crimes; provides for reinstatement of such student if the conviction is subsequently overturned.
Increases the enhanced STAR property tax deduction for tax for final assessment rolls to be completed after two thousand twenty-six; provides a total exemption from school taxes for certain persons eighty years of age and older.
