Suspends the registration of a vehicle which has been documented multiple times within a period by a photo violation monitoring device for failure to comply with traffic-control indications.
Prohibits prior peace officers or police officers whose position as such was terminated or vacated due to misconduct from again becoming a peace officer or a police officer.
Enacts the "gender identity respect, dignity and safety act"; relates to the treatment and placement of incarcerated individuals based upon gender identity; requires that incarcerated individuals in state and local correctional facilities who have a gender identity different from their assigned sex at birth be addressed and have access to commissary items, clothing and other materials that are consistent with the person's gender identity; establishes that incarcerated individuals shall be presumptively placed in a correctional facility with persons of the gender that most closely aligns with such person's self-attested gender identity unless the person opts out of such placement.
Relates to providing information to patients and the public on policy-based exclusions; requires the commissioner of health to collect from each health care facility a list of its policy-based exclusions and publish such information on the department's website.
Requires not-for-profit corporations have a board of directors which reflects the ethnic demographics of the communities that they serve to be able to receive state funds.
Relates to prohibitions on fur products; prohibits the manufacture, sale, display for sale, trade, giving, donating, or otherwise distributing of a fur product by any means in the state beginning twenty-four months after this act becomes a law.
Relates to the continuity of family planning services in the state; establishes a family planning program in the department of health to ensure the continuity of family planning services in the state; covers family planning providers who lost eligibility for federal funding under Title X of the Federal Public Health Service Act.
Relates to prohibiting the metropolitan transportation authority from promulgating rules or regulations that penalize a student for using a student MetroCard when school is not in session.
Creates a temporary state commission to study and investigate issues affecting reentry of incarcerated individuals released from correctional facilities; appropriates $250,000 therefor.
Permits a school food authority to attribute moneys spent on purchases of food products from New York state farmers, growers, producers or processors made for its school breakfast program to the thirty percent of costs for school breakfast and lunch service programs.
Regulates public data maintained by county and city boards of elections; establishes the New York voting and elections database and institute to maintain a statewide database of voting and election data.
Establishes Three King's day as a school holiday for all public schools in a city school district of a city having a population of one million or more inhabitants.
