Enacts the "cannabis adult-use transition act"; increases the number of members on the state cannabis advisory board from thirteen to seventeen voting appointed members; provides that an eligible registered organization shall be authorized as a registered organization adult-use cultivator processor distributor retail dispensary upon approval of an application to the office of cannabis management that must be available to such registered organizations no later than August first, two thousand twenty-three and remain available thereafter; provides that the office must approve or deny such application within thirty days of its submission or it shall be deemed approved; makes related provisions.
Creates a city-wide council for district seventy-five to advise and comment on educational or instructional policies involving district seventy-five services.
Provides an option for beneficiaries of NYC transit authority members to receive a lump sum equal to the pension reserve where a member who is eligible for a service retirement dies prior to filing for retirement.
Relates to authorizing voting by incarcerated individuals in correctional facilities; requires the department of corrections and community supervision, in collaboration with the state and county boards of election, to establish a program to facilitate incarcerated individuals voter registration and voting.
Provides for employment opportunities for economically disadvantaged candidates and economically disadvantaged region candidates and apprenticeship utilization on public transactions; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof.
Relates to awards to employees who prevail in actions on kick-back claims; provides that such employees shall be entitled to the full amount of what was received, liquidated damages, attorney's fees and prejudgment interest.
Requires employers to provide notice of insurance requirements for injured employees to such employees in their native language; requires employers to provide notice of how to file a claim to injured workers; establishes a penalty for failure to comply with such notice requirements.
Relates to the purchase of apparatus, materials, equipment and supplies; excludes contracts for services related to the installation, maintenance or repair of apparatus, materials, equipment and supplies from such purchasing authority.
Prohibits the unlawful disclosure of a sexual assault victim's DNA or RNA evidence by entry of the DNA or RNA profile into a criminal database or by use in an unrelated investigation or prosecution of the sexual assault victim; provides that a sexual assault victim's DNA or RNA evidence is not admissible in unrelated proceedings against the sexual assault victim.
