Authorizes local governments to adopt a local law or ordinance requiring property owners to replace each tree removed from their property with up to three trees and authorizes the imposition of property tax credits and reasonable fines.
Requires the department of health to develop, maintain, and distribute to practicing and licensed physicians in the state a resource library related to continuing medical education and training opportunities regarding nutrition.
Requires the department of agriculture and markets to maintain a publicly available database of the results of its graded inspections on its website; requires the department to provide information as to where a customer may file a consumer report; requires the department to facilitate and coordinate the planning and implementation of an awareness and educational program to inform the general public on the standards retail food stores shall meet and how consumers may report retail food stores with poor sanitary conditions.
Establishes the incontinence supplies insurance program for Medicaid beneficiaries who are also residents of the state of New York and obtain a note from a physician indicating a need for an item.
Requires that all electronic tax preparation software offered for sale in the state of New York include a prompt providing a link to users of such software to a New York state voter registration application website.
Removes liability for the death of a person caused by any act of persons permitted to use certain premises; removes liability from the owner, lessee or occupant of premises adjacent to such premises.
Enacts provisions relating to collective negotiations by health care providers with certain health care plans in certain counties; applies to health benefit plans that provide benefits for medical or surgical expenses incurred as a result of a health condition, accident or sickness, including an individual, group, blanket or franchise insurance policy or insurance agreement offered by certain enumerated entities.
Enacts "Melanie's law"; relates to orders of protection; allows courts to issue orders of protection for immediate family members or household members of the named victims, regardless of age.
Relates to regulation of the billing by general hospitals and the distribution of funds from the general hospital indigent care pool; requires use of a uniform application form and policy.
Requires insurers which issue contracts providing long term care benefits to maintain records of policies cancelled during each year and requires that such records indicate which policies were cancelled due to, or within thirty days after, an increase in policy premiums.
Provides that insurance policies which provide hospital, surgical or medical coverage shall provide coverage for hysterectomies; provides that such coverage shall include inpatient hospital coverage for a minimum period of seventy-two hours after surgery.
