Establishes a jobs and housing pilot program to create jobs in the construction industry and address the housing crisis by developing or redeveloping housing that is affordable to individuals earning up to one hundred thirty percent of the area median income, adjusted for family size.
Requires license plates for bicycles, bicycles with electric assist and electric scooters in New York city; requires a one time registration; requires a registration fee for such license plates.
Ensures that construction and fabrication done off of a public work site for specific use only in a public work project be compensated at the prevailing wage rate.
Authorizes variable message signs placed within the right of way of highways to display certain voting related communications; provides that no such communications shall be displayed if advised by the United States Department of Transportation or any of its agencies that the display of such information will interfere with federal law or regulation or result in the reduction of federal aid highway funds.
Allows the chancellor of the city district of the city of New York to require pupils in public schools in the borough of Brooklyn or in the borough of Queens to attend school on anniversary day, but to declare a holiday for such pupils on an alternate date in the same school year to allow for the celebration of a significant cultural or religious holiday.
Requires bicycles with electric assist and electric scooters in a city with a population of one million or more be registered with the department of motor vehicles and have a license plate affixed to such bicycle with electric assist or electric scooter.
Establishes the office of Native American affairs to act as a centralized office for Native American nations to access information on state programs that are provided to Native Americans.
Directs the secretary of state to establish a Native nation consultation policy used by state agencies in instances where a proposal by such agency that would affect indigenous communities is under consideration.
Provides that impersonation of a disabled veteran vendor, by carrying or possessing a specialized vending license without authority or any form of insignia or by words or actions is a class A misdemeanor.
Provides free use of public campsites, parks and other public places of recreation in this state for members or citizens of state or federally recognized Native American nations.
