Requires every school district to conduct a transition feasibility analysis within the next succeeding school year as of the effective date of this act, and every five years thereafter, to determine the feasibility of using zero-emission school buses on current routes.
Provides that for taxable years beginning on and after January first, two thousand twenty-five, a resident taxpayer who serves as an active volunteer firefighter or as a volunteer ambulance worker shall be allowed a credit against the tax imposed equal to eight hundred dollars; provides for a real property tax exemption under certain circumstances to an enrolled member of an incorporated volunteer fire company, fire department or incorporated voluntary ambulance service residing in such city, village, town, school district, special district, fire district or county.
Relates to establishing the crime of larceny by cyber extortion which occurs when a person intends to obtain property from another person or entity located in the state of New York through the use of certain malicious software.
Provides additional requirements for approval of charter school applications; applies additional prohibitions to charter schools; requires certain financial disclosures by charter schools; requires charter schools to comply with provisions relating to construction, repair or demolition of school facilities; relates to admission of students.
Provides that court records in a proceeding under articles 77, 78 and 81 of the mental hygiene law shall not be perused, examined, disclosed, taken or copied by any other person than a party, the attorney or counsel of a party, the guardian, the court evaluator or the court examiner except by order of the court.
Relates to repair reserve funds for municipal corporations, school districts, boards of cooperative educational services, district corporations and improvement districts.
Relates to the provision of regulatory information to small businesses through the establishment of a small business regulatory nexus by certain agencies.
Authorizes the town of Fishkill to adopt a local law to impose a hotel/motel occupancy tax for hotels not located in the village of Fishkill; authorizes the village of Fishkill to adopt local laws to impose a hotel/motel occupancy tax in such village; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof.
Allows a tax exemption for taxpayers in the amount of the purchase price of a fire extinguisher, fire alarm, heat alarm or carbon monoxide alarm purchased for residential use during the month of October.
