Adds department of corrections' correctional officers to the list of public safety employees that are entitled to their full salary if they are injured and become disabled as a result of performance of their job duties.
JOINT RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CONTINUED FOCUS AND ACTIONS FOR IMPROVED COORDINATION BETWEEN AGENCIES RESPONSIBLE FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD AND EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS
Provides that any disaster response worker shall, in the course of their duties, be considered a state employee under the provisions of chapters 29 through 38 of title 28 and under ยง 9-31-8 of the general laws.
Provides that architects and other authorized disaster response workers be considered, in the course of performing their duties, state workers and be entitled to all rights in like manner as state employees.
Provides amendments to the membership provisions of planning boards or commissions and would enable municipalities to establish "combined review boards" to replace separate planning and zoning boards.
Makes several amendments relative to manufactured homes, including adding a definition for manufactured home and a provision allowing for certain manufactured homes to be considered a single-family home if on a lot zone for such use.
Requires towns and cities to publish a list of abandoned properties and makes various other amendments relative to the sale of abandoned property by a receiver.
Allows for a one-time two percent (2%) supplemental cost of living adjustment for plan year 2025 to the public pension benefits administered by the ERSRI, and allows for those benefits to be deducted from the taxpayer's adjusted gross income.
Provides that the $5,500,000 appropriation to the infrastructure bank from the 2023 budget act be allocated for eligible municipal infrastructure grant program projects.
JOINT RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $500,000 TO DAY ONE, RHODE ISLAND'S SEXUAL ASSAULT COALITION AND RAPE CRISIS CENTER (This resolution would authorize the appropriation of the sum of $500,000 to Day One.)
