Urges and requests the Louisiana State University AgCenter and the Southern University Ag Center to work together to study alternative uses of sugarcane bagasse and to make recommendations on how such alternatives can be used to benefit sugarcane producers economically

Requests that the state Department of Education study and make recommendations relative to automated graduation progress monitoring initiatives to enhance timely high school graduation
Directs the Partners in Protecting Children Subcommittee of the Children's Cabinet Advisory Board to study the needs of the child welfare system in this state
Requests that the state Department of Education and the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education prohibit the use of certain "edu-tainment" videos as educational tools in classrooms
