Provides counsel appointed in the supreme court or surrogate's court for certain family matters shall be compensated in the same manner as law guardians in the family court of this state.
Requires the establishment of community housing waiting lists within the office of mental health service system; directs each provider of housing services in the office of mental health system to provide, on a monthly basis, the office of mental health with a list of each person referred to, admitted to, applying for, withdrawing an application for and denied admission to housing provided by such provider; requires the community-based agency performing assessments of persons with a documented mental illness to provide the office with the names of such who have been assessed and who meet the eligibility criteria for the array of funded and/or licensed housing programs; requires such office to publish such waiting lists on a monthly basis.
Requires notaries public and commissioners of deeds to complete and retain certain documents relating to the transfer of residential real property; relates to forgery and offering a false document concerning residential real property.
Requires the New York City Housing Authority to create policies regarding administrative procedures that conform with Title 42 Sections 13661-13662 of the United States Code and any relevant guidance developed by the Office of Public and Indian Housing of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development with respect to proceedings involving decisions of the Authority.
Amends the low income housing tax credit eligibility requirement to at least sixty percent of residential units be both rent-restricted and occupied by individuals whose income is one hundred twenty-five percent or less of area median gross income.
Provides that a landlord depositing security deposits in an interest bearing account shall be entitled to receive as administration expenses a sum equivalent to 20 percent of the interest earned by such security money per annum, but not to exceed one percent per annum of the money so deposited.
Relates to the rights of parties involved in foreclosure actions; relates to the effect of discontinuance of actions based upon certain instruments related to real property.
Makes technical corrections regarding the public financing of elections; repeals certain provisions relating to establishing the New York state campaign finance fund.
Requires state and county boards of elections to post sample ballots online at least twelve days prior to the first day of early voting; requires such ballots to be posted in a searchable database.
Authorizes courts to hold evidentiary hearings for a temporary order of protection in certain circumstances; grants superior court judges the authority to issue a temporary order of protection when an action is pending in a local criminal court in certain circumstances.
Relates to returnable bottles; adds noncarbonated soft drinks, certain noncarbonated fruit or vegetable juices, coffee and tea beverages, carbonated fruit beverages and cider to the definition of "beverage"; provides that beginning April 1, 2027, the handling fee will be six cents for each beverage container accepted by a deposit initiator from a dealer or operator of a redemption center; directs the multi-agency bottle bill fraud investigation team to submit a report on findings of pervasive bottle redemption fraud in New York state.
