Designating April 12, 2024, as "Volunteer Firefighter Day" in Pennsylvania to honor the brave men and women who make sacrifices to protect their community as volunteer firefighters.
Recognizing the week of April 11 through 17, 2024, as "Black Maternal Health Week" in Pennsylvania to bring attention to the maternal health crisis and the importance of reducing maternal mortality and morbidity among Black women.
Directing the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a study on maternal-health-related medical assistance payments to hospitals and health care providers and make recommendations to increase payment rates to hospitals and health care providers, including fee-for-service and managed care payment rates.
Directing the Pennsylvania Department of Health to integrate Application Programming Interface (API) technology as required under section 701(c.1) of the act of April 17, 2016 (P.L.84, No.16), known as the Medical Marijuana Act, to enhance data interoperability and streamline data communication within the Medical Marijuana Program and ensure that all relevant measures are taken to achieve the intended goals of the act.
