Repeals the requirement that the senate vote to confirm the appointment of certain chief executive officers within a certain time period; amends certain provisions of law relating thereto.
Prohibits participation in torture of incarcerated individuals by health professionals; prohibits a health care professional from engaging, assisting or planning the torture of an incarcerated individual; requires health care professionals to report torture.
Prohibits certain political contributions and loans by certain organizations; provides that loans not repaid by the date of the primary or election shall be considered a contribution.
Prevents public employers from diminishing health insurance benefits provided to retirees and their Medicare-eligible dependents or the contributions such employer makes for such health insurance coverage below the level of such benefits or contributions made on behalf of such retirees and their dependents by such public employer.
Allows an organization included on the federal list of tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of title 26 of the United States code on March first, two thousand twenty-five to automatically maintain their tax-exempt status for New York state purposes; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof.
