Relates to the provision of grants to eligible school districts to cover the costs of school resource officers employed at schools in such districts; authorizes boards of cooperative educational services to enter into contracts with local police entities to provide school resource officers.
Provides direct reciprocal certification for emergency medical technicians who possess a current certification from the national registry of emergency medical technicians.
Relates to the general powers and duties of the canal corporation; requires the canal corporation to cause the locks and lift bridges of the canal system to be operated May first through November fifteenth annually; requires the canal corporation to maintain and preserve the Erie Canal's historic resources; permits certain usage of the canal system's state drydocks, travel lifts, and other facilities for commercial boat companies.
Relates to tuition scholarship award programs for certain resident and non-resident medical students attending approved medical programs on a full-time basis.
Establishes that a person is guilty of arson when such person damages a building or motor vehicle by fire or explosion in the course of the commission or attempted commission of a felony.
Requires that a health care provider who administers an immunization to a person nineteen years of age or older must report such information to the department of health or to the New York city citywide immunization registry unless the person receiving the immunization objects to such reporting.
Requires schools safety plans to include a cardiac emergency response plan that addresses the use of appropriate personnel and measures to respond to incidents involving any individual experiencing sudden cardiac arrest or similar life-threatening emergency on any school site owned or operated by a school or at a location of a school sponsored event.
Enacts the consumer litigation funding act to promote consumer protections related to consumer litigation funding transactions; provides for contract requirements, including that the contract contain a no penalty provision for the prepayment of the funded amount prior to the settlement of their case; makes related provisions.
Permits a school food authority to attribute moneys spent on purchases of food products from New York state farmers, growers, producers or processors made for its school breakfast program to the thirty percent of costs for school breakfast, snack and lunch service programs.
