Excludes solar or wind energy projects in the county of Lewis that were already in existence on the effective date of Part N of chapter 59 of the laws of 2023 from certain appraisal models and discount rates.
Relates to flood insurance notice in communities bordering Lake Ontario; requires the department of financial services to publish an annual notice with the department's contact information and a statement about flood insurance and how it relates to standard homeowners insurance policies in local newspapers that serve the communities bordering Lake Ontario.
Provides for temporary exemptions to educational institutions from certain requirements related to the use of multi-occupancy bathrooms and locker rooms; authorizes the use of state building aid for related facility improvements.
Permits funds collected from the Oswego county occupancy tax to be used on making tourism related capital improvements; removes such tax on permanent residents.
Authorizes Matthew Terpening to take the competitive civil service examination for the position of police officer and be placed on the eligible list for employment as a full-time police officer for the town of Webb, county of Herkimer.
Permits the designation of low volume roads and minimum maintenance roads by town boards; enacts provisions relating to the maintenance, improvement and repair of such roads; removes the limitation that such provisions only apply to a designated town.
