Directs the department of agriculture and markets to increase the number of regional farmers' markets for the direct marketing of foods and produce produced in the state.
Relates to requiring approval through public referendum in the municipality in which a major electric generating facility is intended to be located prior to final determination for a final siting permit.
Enacts the "social media monitoring safety act" to provide data analytic resources and funding to every school district to facilitate the monitoring of social media activities to provide early-detection information of possible threats to a student's health and the safety of the school; makes an appropriation therefor.
Credits any on-premises licensees or any manufacturing licensee with on-premises retail privileges for each day they were unable to operate due to COVID-19; provides that such credits shall be used for such licensee's license renewal; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof.
Requires that the state fund any program which imposes a mandate upon municipal corporations or school districts; establishes criteria for any exemption from such law if such mandate is ordered by the judiciary, pursuant to an executive order or requested by the locality; establishes the New York state mandate review council.
Relates to reimbursement for ambulance services; requires insurers to submit payments directly to ambulance providers who are in-network or, for out-of-network ambulance providers, requires the issuance of a joint check to the insured specifying both the insured and the ambulance provider as payees.
Relates to licensing of independent insurance adjusters by waiving requirements regarding a written examination if the applicant holds a claim certification from a national or state-based claims association.
Provides that no policy of group accident, group health or group accident and health shall impose copayments for physical or occupational therapy greater than the copay for similar services provided by a physician.
Limits the tenure of the temporary president of the senate, speaker of the assembly, majority leader of the senate, minority leader of the senate, majority leader of the assembly and minority leader of the assembly to 8 years; limits the tenure of the chairman of any single legislative committee to 8 consecutive years.
