Enacts the college student suicide prevention act to provide for policies, guidelines and training opportunities to effectively and appropriately prevent student suicide, intervene in crisis situations, and support college communities in postvention.
Establishes radon measurement license and radon mitigation license requirements; defines terms; establishes powers and duties of the department of labor and of licensees with regards to such licenses; establishes penalties; establishes the radon mitigation and control fund.
Relates to the purchase of zero-emission buses and the procurement of electric-powered buses, vehicles or other related equipment and infrastructure; requires public utilities to have infrastructure, capacity, facilities, and transmission and distribution systems needed to supply power for the charging of zero-emission buses; provides a tariff for charging of electric buses.
Affords certain police/fire members who are members of the fire department pension fund to continue in service past normal retirement age with an additional pension benefit for each year of additional service; provides an additional amount computed at the rate of one-fortieth of his or her final salary for each year of such additional service.
Affords certain uniformed members of the fire department pension fund with an increased pension benefit of one-fortieth of their average annual earnings for each year of additional service beyond his or her required minimum service.
Provides a performance of duty presumption for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis for paid members of a fire department in a city with a population of one million or more.
Enacts the "limited equity cooperative insurance captive authorization and county cap act" to enable limited equity cooperatives in the state of New York to establish insurance captives to enhance their ability to manage risks, improve insurance coverage, and promote financial stability.
Establishes a minimum threshold of five hundred dollars for recovery of overpayment of wages; provides an employee who is alleged to have been overpaid notice and an opportunity to respond to such allegation prior to the state seeking such recovery.
