Establishes the interagency elder justice task force consisting of representatives of state agencies whose work involves elder justice to create greater collaboration and develop overarching strategies, systems, and programs with a goal of protecting older adults from abuse and mistreatment.
Prohibits state agencies and state-owned entities from utilizing large language models or any artificial intelligence systems to make decisions that affect individuals' rights, benefits, or services; requires such decisions to be made by human personnel of the respective state agency or state-owned entity; provides exceptions; provides for enforcement.
Relates to establishing expanded construction mentorship opportunities for small and minority and women-owned business enterprises where there is privity of contract between a minority and women-owned business enterprise and a subcontractor or contractor working on an authority public works contract.
Extends to commercial tenants the right to seek a stay of the issuance of a warrant and a stay of any execution to collect the costs of the proceeding in a proceeding to recover the possession of premises in the city of New York.
Expands definition of eligible senior citizen and disabled person to include any member of the tenant's household lawfully occupying the premises as such person's residence who is 62 years of age with respect to condominium and cooperative conversion to provide protection to disabled and senior citizen non-purchasing residents of buildings that undergo cooperative or condominium conversions under an eviction plan even where such residents are not tenants of record in the buildings.
Authorizes the department of health to implement a community food security, empowerment and economic development program (SEED) to help meet the food needs of low-income people and promote comprehensive responses to local food, farm and nutrition issues; provides grants for the cost of program projects which will be available to non-profit organizations and local governments, with limited partnership with for-profit enterprises; makes related provisions.
Establishes the healthy and safe students act; requires comprehensive sexuality instruction for students in grades K-12 which includes a model curricula for comprehensive sexuality education and at a minimum conforms to the content and scope of national sexuality education standards.
Requires the board of elections in a city with a population of one million or more to notify by mail state and county party committees and certain elected officials prior to a change of polling place.
Relates to complaints regarding judges and confidentiality of records; extends the jurisdiction of the state commission on judicial conduct as to judges who resign or retire while under investigation or formal charges.
Provides that a person is guilty of loitering when such person remains in a transportation facility, within twenty-five feet of the token booth or similar location, for more than twenty-five minutes unless authorized to do so or unless the facility's design would make it impossible to maintain a greater distance.
