Protects the solvency of health systems, physicians, and advance practice providers and insurers, encourage fair treatment of hospitals and ensure adequate clinical workforce while advancing health equity.
Includes the definition of "primary care services" and requires that all biennial reports shall include a review and recommendation of rates for primary care services on and after September 1, 2025.
Requires carriers offering dental benefit plans to annually submit information which includes the current and projected medical loss ratio for claims for their plans. The medical loss ratio would be eighty-five percent (85%).
Prohibits insurance companies from paying a rate that is less than the approved Medicaid rate set by the executive office of health and human services.
JOINT RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $500,000 TO GLORIA GEMMA FOUNDATION (This resolution would appropriate the sum of $500,000 to the Gloria Gemma Fountain.)
Requires the council on elementary and secondary education to draft a written bill of rights for parents or guardians of students who are multilingual learners that safeguard and protect the rights of multilingual learners in public schools.
Authorizes the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to establish a program to expand the issuance of teaching certificates to bilingual dual language and world language teachers in urban and urban ring schools.
Extends the sunset date of the Rhode Island hope scholarship pilot program act from 2028 to 2030, in order to allow the program to provide eligible students with funding for tuition and mandatory fees for an additional two (2) years.
JOINT RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $5,000,000 TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SNAP) EAT WELL, BE WELL PILOT REWARDS PROGRAM (This resolution would authorize the appropriation of the sum of $5,000,000 to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Eat Well, Be Well Pilot Rewards Program.)
Provides that the permanent foundation educational aid program would provide state funding for school-based mental health services pursuant to specified conditions.
