Authorizes cities and towns, except a city with a population of one million or more, to establish community housing funds; authorizes such cities and towns to impose a real estate transfer tax with revenues to be deposited in such funds; makes related provisions.
Enacts the "city of Buffalo historic preservation receivership act"; provides the city of Buffalo specific procedures for the appointment of a receiver of rents in instances where the property at issue is neglected or abandoned.
Relates to the application of provisions of the not-for-profit corporation law and other laws to certain crematoriums located in the town of Tonawanda; provides that provisions of this chapter will apply to a crematory or crematorium operated by a funeral entity in the town of Tonawanda that has been subject to a consent order issued by the department of environmental conservation.
Provides for automatic sealing of certain convictions after a certain passage of time from either imposition of sentence, release from parole or probation, and if the defendant does not have a current charge pending; excludes certain offenses; permits access by certain persons.
Deems Anthony Varvaro to have died as the natural and proximate result of an accident sustained in the performance of duty so as to permit accidental death benefits to be awarded to his beneficiaries.
Extends the duration of certain brownfield redevelopment and remediation tax credits with respect to a site located within the Renaissance Commerce Park situate within the city of Lackawanna, Erie county.
Establishes the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) For Kids Act prohibiting the provision of addictive feeds to minors by addictive social media platforms; establishes remedies and penalties.
Establishes the New York child data protection act to protect minors from having their personal data accessed; provides exceptions in certain circumstances.
Enacts the "faith-based affordable housing act" for development on residential land; defines terms; provides that each village, town, and city shall allow the construction and occupation of residential buildings on any covered site up to the specified densities; provides that all residential buildings constructed pursuant to this section in a town, village, or city with fewer than one million inhabitants shall set aside twenty percent of the residential floor area for households earning an average of eighty percent of area median income; outlines the densities for New York city; makes related provisions.
Requires each high school senior to complete the FAFSA, an application for TAP, or a waiver form; requires schools to report data on the rates of submission of FAFSA and TAP applications.
Increases the minimum wage outside of New York city and the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester; repeals certain provisions of law relating to exceptions to minimum wage increases.
Prohibits public employers from diminishing health insurance benefits provided to retirees and their dependents or the contributions such employer makes for such health insurance coverage below the level of such benefits or contributions made on behalf of such retirees and dependents by the public employer as of December 31, 2021.
