Deems Anthony Varvaro to have died as the natural and proximate result of an accident sustained in the performance of duty so as to permit accidental death benefits to be awarded to his beneficiaries.
Establishes the New York Health program, a comprehensive system of access to health insurance for New York state residents; provides for administrative structure of the plan; provides for powers and duties of the board of trustees, the scope of benefits, payment methodologies and care coordination; establishes the New York Health Trust Fund which would hold monies from a variety of sources to be used solely to finance the plan; enacts provisions relating to financing of New York Health, including a payroll assessment, similar to the Medicare tax; establishes a temporary commission on implementation of the plan; provides for collective negotiations by health care providers with New York Health.
Repeals the requirement that the senate vote to confirm the appointment of certain chief executive officers within a certain time period; amends certain provisions of law relating thereto.
Establishes the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) For Kids Act prohibiting the provision of addictive feeds to minors by addictive social media platforms; establishes remedies and penalties.
Establishes the New York child data protection act to protect minors from having their personal data accessed; provides exceptions in certain circumstances.
Prohibits any motor vehicle with a manufacturers' gross vehicle weight rating of ten thousand one pounds or more which utilizes autonomous vehicle technology from being operated on public highways unless a natural person holding a valid license for the operation of the motor vehicle's class is present within such vehicle.
Enacts the "faith-based affordable housing act" for development on residential land; defines terms; provides that each village, town, and city shall allow the construction and occupation of residential buildings on any covered site up to the specified densities; provides that all residential buildings constructed pursuant to this section in a town, village, or city with fewer than one million inhabitants shall set aside twenty percent of the residential floor area for households earning an average of eighty percent of area median income; outlines the densities for New York city; makes related provisions.
Repeals managed long term care provisions for Medicaid recipients; establishes provisions for fully integrated plans for long term care including PACE and MAP plans.
Limits the amount of rent increases for residential ground lease cooperative apartment buildings; establishes certain rights upon the expiration of such leases.
Requires camps and youth sports programs have at least one automated external defibrillator; requires camps and youth sports programs to use best efforts to have at least one person trained to use such defibrillators at camps, games and practices.
Relates to emergency response plans relating to the notification of location of downed wires from a municipal emergency official and to plans to prioritize the securing of downed wires over routine maintenance or other work unrelated to a response to an emergency event.
Requires owners and agents of multiple residences and multiple dwellings to update the list of names and contact information of residents provided to emergency personnel where such owner is an authority as such term is defined in section three of the public housing law, including all such authorities established after the first day of January, nineteen hundred thirty-nine, upon annual recertification.
