Enacts the "beauty justice act"; provides for the regulation of ingredients in personal care products and cosmetics; prohibits the sale of personal care products and cosmetic products containing certain restricted products.
Enacts the "Consumer and Small business Protection Act"; relates to standing for persons affected by prohibited or unlawful business practices; expands prohibited acts to include unfair, deceptive or abusive acts.
Relates to the crime of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate; requires any imprisonment imposed by such conviction run consecutively to any undischarged term of imprisonment to which the defendant is subject.
Grants police officer status to members of the uniformed correction force of the N.Y. city department of correction who complete a certain training program.
Relates to the compensation of deputy public administrators in the city of New York; permits them to be paid at least two-thirds the amount paid to public administrators within the same county.
Relates to calculating the final average salary for members of the New York state and local police and fire retirement system; provides that final average salary shall be equal to one-third of the highest total wages earned during any continuous period of employment for which the member was credited with three years of service credit.
Relates to the prosecution of certain juveniles between the ages of 16 and 18 charged with certain felony offenses, including possession of a firearm; relates to the transfer of such cases to family court.
Provides for crediting of probationary service when a person appointed provisionally in accordance with section sixty-five of the civil service law receives a permanent appointment to the same title.
