Provides for a hazardous pay differential for certain emergency medical technicians who are providing emergency medical services, and their supervisors, during outbreaks of infectious diseases.
Establishes a central business district toll exemption for employees of the fire department of the city of New York in the title of firefighter, fire marshal, marine engineer, pilot or wiper.
Requires the school district of location shall annually provide written notice to all parents or persons in parental relation to students with disabilities attending nonpublic schools within their district regarding the process for requesting special education services; relates to the denial of services in a city having a population of one million or more for the 2024--2025 school year.
Modifies eligibility for ordinary disability benefits and re-employment of disability retirees of the New York city police pension fund Tier III plans.
Requires the same benefits and services for post-traumatic stress disorder for emergency dispatchers and correction officers as are afforded police and firefighters.
Authorizes localities to provide for an additional real property tax exemption for senior citizens who meet the income eligibility limits and other criteria to the extent of sixty-five percent of the assessed valuation of such real property.
Relates to procedures relating to driving while ability impaired by drugs; defines impairment and intoxication; updates procedures for field testing of drivers suspected of being under the influence of drugs to include the use of oral/bodily fluid tests; provides that refusal to submit to such field tests is specified to be a traffic infraction; makes related provisions.
