Eliminates state sales and compensating use taxes on motor fuels and diesel motor fuels; authorizes localities to eliminate such taxes at the local level; establishes various exemptions from New York's sales and use tax; provides for a sales tax exemption for housekeeping supplies and for ready-to-eat foods.
Relates to providing only plastic or composite eating utensils at state correctional facilities for use in cafeterias, mess halls, canteens, commissaries, or any other dining facility located within.
Relates to creating an exemption to the snowmobile registration requirements by creating a seasonal trail pass pilot program for Canadian citizens where registered Canadian snowmobilers will pay applicable fees but no additional registration materials are utilized.
Relates to aggravated harassment of an employee by an incarcerated individual; eliminates the requirement that an incarcerated individual causes or attempts to cause an employee to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, urine, feces, saliva, or the contents of a toilet bowl by throwing, tossing or expelling such fluid or material.
Provides that the issue of military deployment shall not be considered as a factor in the awarding of custody in marital actions where a suitable child care plan is presented.
Provides that a person is guilty of harassment in the first degree, a class B misdemeanor, when he or she strikes, shoves, kicks or otherwise subjects a school employee to physical contact or attempts or threatens to do the same while such school employee is engaged in the performance of his or her duties as a school employee.
Authorizes the abatement of real property taxes in certain cases of catastrophic loss; establishes procedures therefor; limits eligibility to one, two, or three family houses; applies to all municipal and school taxes.
Relates to creating a school resource officer program to permit the employment of retired law enforcement officers and provide grants to school districts and non-public schools for such purpose.
