Authorizes the attorney general to investigate and take action against in response to actions improvident or prejudicial to the interests of the public or occupants of nursing homes that are under the supervision of the commissioner of public health.
Establishes a moratorium on the installation of synthetic turf pending a comprehensive environmental and public health study; relates to environmental impact assessments of the use of synthetic turf; provides for the repeal of certain provisions upon expiration thereof.
Relates to the Chisholm Chance Act; creates centers of pregnant and birthing persons and childcare services in Kings county and Bronx county to coordinate community-based organizations and community health workers to combat the pregnant and birthing persons health crisis.
Relates to releasing individuals charged with a crime under non-monetary bail conditions in order to receive mental health screening or be admitted to a hospital as a result of a mental illness which is likely to result in harm to such individual or others.
Authorizes incarcerated individual's serving indeterminate sentences of imprisonment for offenses involving controlled substances and marihuana to receive good time allowances against the minimum terms of their sentences not to exceed one-third of the minimum term imposed; provides that drug offenders can receive good behavior allowances for progress in assigned treatment programs and willing performance of duties.
Relates to the money deposited as bail by charitable bail organizations; removes maximum authorized amount of money allowed to be deposited by such organizations.
Provides regulatory control of Internet service providers by the public service commission; requires Internet neutrality; relates to the placement of equipment on utility poles.
