EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASS ING OF JANICE DIPRETE

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Janice 1
DiPrete, the loving wife of the late Honorable James DiPrete, Jr., and the devoted mother of 2
Jacqueline Ann Zannini and her husband, Michael, Kenneth James DiPrete and his wife, Caroline 3
Greenblatt, the late Patricia "Tish" DiPrete Handy and her husband, our friend and colleague 4
Representative Arthur Handy, Ronald James DiPrete and his wife, Martha, and her designated 5
"third son" Bruce Lane; and 6
WHEREAS, Janice DiPrete was the loving daughter of Ruth Ellen and Caesar Thomas 7
Cambio and a well-respected lifelong resident of the City of Cranston. She was a woman of great 8
faith, impeccable fashion, and gratitude for all that life offered; and 9
WHEREAS, Mrs. DiPrete created a warm and welcoming home, where she doted on her 10
family and particularly her “greatest joys”, her grandchildren Alexander James Handy and Mia 11
James DiPrete, and where she sagely “offered discerning, perceptive advice as needed” and an ear 12
to listen and a shoulder on which to lean; and 13
WHEREAS, Described as “the epitome of a truly nice person in every aspect” Mrs. 14
DiPrete earned the loyalty and love of so many friends, including her cousin, Gloria DiFolco, the 15
late Carol Malloy and the late Janet Small, and her cousins, Donald Cambio, Patricia DiFolco, 16
Lisa DiFolco as well as many, many others who filled her life with light, laughter, and love; and 17
WHEREAS, Janice DiPrete was a woman whose life and being were filled with grace, 18
dignity, elegance and humor, and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it 19
RESOLVED, That this Houses of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby 20

expresses heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and many friends of Janice DiPrete; and 1
be it further 2
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to 3
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Jacqueline Ann Zannini and Family, Kenneth 4
James DiPrete and Family, Representative Arthur Handy and Family, Ronald James DiPrete and 5
Family, and Bruce Lane. 6
