Murray Date Introduced: January 31, 2023 Referred To: Placed on the Senate Consent Calendar WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Kristine 1 Marie Peloquin, the beloved wife of Christian Peloquin for ten years, and the cherished mother of 2 Christian Ferreira; and 3 WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence, Mrs. Peloquin was the daughter of Michelle 4 DeSerres and the late Albert DeSerres, the sister and best friend of Alan DeSerres, and his wife, 5 Sandra, and a doting aunt to her nephew and niece, Jonah and Julianna. She was the 6 granddaughter of the late Emma and Lucien DeSerres and Marie and Roland Michaud; and 7 WHEREAS, Mrs. Peloquin attended Rhode Island College where she earned her 8 Bachelor of Science degree in health education. Upon graduation, she taught in numerous school 9 systems in Rhode Island and Massachusetts; and 10 WHEREAS, Eventually, Mrs. Peloquin opened her own business, Your Service 11 Bartending LLC, which was highly successful due in no small measure to her amazing 12 personality. With a caring and personal touch, she made every event special, earning her many 13 devoted friends, repeat customers, and prestigious accolades; and 14 WHEREAS, Mrs. Peloquin was a true renaissance woman who loved an eclectic variety 15 of leisure time activities. She was an avid sports fan, enjoyed cooking and hosting family get-16 togethers and the beaches of East Matunuck, rocking out to music and attending concerts, 17 particularly the band Journey, gardening and feeding backyard bird friends, and closest to her 18 heart, spending time with family, her chocolate labs Cocoa, Sage and Bailey, and her seafaring 19 LC000779 - Page 2 of 2 friends, Christian and “Mama Celeste Peloquin”; and 1 WHEREAS, Kristine Peloquin led a full and blessed life surrounded by those she loved 2 and she will be dearly missed by each and every one of them; now, therefore be it 3 RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest 4 condolences on the passing of Kristine Marie Peloquin; and be it further 5 RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to 6 transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Christian Peloquin and Family, Mrs. Michelle 7 DeSerres, and Mr. Alan DeSerres and Family. 8 ======== LC000779 ========
