RELATING TO EDUCATION -- HEALTH AND SAFETY OF PUPILS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 16-21 of the General Laws entitled "Health and Safety of Pupils" is 1
hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 2
16-21-42. Availability of feminine hygiene products in universities and colleges. 3
(a) By the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, all universities and colleges whether 4
public or privately run shall make feminine hygiene products available as follows: 5
(1) Feminine products shall be available in all gender-neutral bathrooms and any bathroom 6
designated for females; 7
(2) Feminine products shall be available at no cost to students. 8
(b) For the purposes of this section, "feminine hygiene products" includes tampons and 9
sanitary napkins. 10
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 11
