It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 22-11-1 of the General Laws in Chapter 22-11 entitled "Joint 1
Committee on Legislative Services" is hereby amended to read as follows: 2
22-11-1. Permanent committee — Composition. 3
There is created a permanent joint committee on legislative services consisting of the 4
president and the minority leader of the senate, the majority and minority leaders from the house 5
of representatives, the president of the senate, the senate majority leader, the senate minority leader, 6
the house minority leader, and the speaker of the house of representatives. The members of the 7
committee shall serve until their successors have been duly elected and qualified. 8
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 9

This act would amend the composition of the joint committee on legislative services 1
(JCLS) by adding the senate majority leader to the committee and removing the house majority 2
leader. 3
This act would take effect upon passage. 4
