RELATING TO CRIMINAL OFFENSES -- WEAPONS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 11-47-12 of the General Laws in Chapter 11-47 entitled "Weapons" 1
is hereby amended to read as follows: 2
11-47-12. License or permit fee. 3
A fee of forty dollars ($40.00) shall be charged and shall be paid for each license or permit 4
to the licensing authority issuing it. No city or town or other licensing authority shall be permitted 5
to charge more than the forty-dollar ($40.00) fee authorized by this section. Every license or permit 6
shall be valid for four (4) years from the date when issued unless sooner revoked. The fee charged 7
for issuing of the license or permit shall be applied for the use and benefit of the city, town, or state 8
of Rhode Island. 9
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 10

forty dollars ($40.00) for any license or permit to carry a concealed weapon. 2
