RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 235 1
passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved April 30, 2024, entitled 2
"SENATE RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO 3
STUDY AND REVIEW RHODE ISLAND'S MINIMUM WAGE" is hereby authorized to 4
continue its study and make a report to the Senate on or before May 4, 2026, and said commission 5
shall expire on January 4, 2027; and be it further 6
RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 235 passed by the 7
Senate at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved April 30, 2024, be and the same is hereby 8
rescinded. 9

This resolution would extend the reporting and expiration dates of the special legislative 1
commission to study Rhode Island’s minimum wage from May 4, 2025, to May 4, 2026, and said 2
commission would expire on January 4, 2027. 3
