RELATING TO MOTOR AN D OTHER VEHICLES -- RIGHT-OF-WAY

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 31-17-5.1 of the General Laws in Chapter 31-17 entitled "Right-Of-1
Way" is hereby amended to read as follows: 2
31-17-5.1. Penalties. 3
Any person who violates any provision of §§ 31-17-1 — 31-17-5, pertaining to the right-4
of-way of pedestrians, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than seventy-5
five ($75.00) subject to the fines enumerated in § 31-41.1-4. 6
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. 7

This act would amend the general law relative to right-of-way of pedestrians to reference 1
the schedule of violations for the adjudication of traffic offenses contained in § 31-41.1-4. 2
This act would take effect upon passage. 3
