RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 364 1
passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 11, 2024, entitled 2
"Senate Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission to Study the Governance 3
Structure of Rhode Island’s Public Education System” is hereby authorized to continue its study 4
and make a report to the Senate on or before April 1, 2026, and said commission shall expire on 5
June 1, 2026; and be it further 6
RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 364, passed by the 7
General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 11, 2024, be and the 8
same is hereby rescinded. 9

This resolution would extend the reporting and expiration dates of the special legislative 1
commission to study the governance structure of Rhode Island’s public education system, from 2
March 1, 2025 to April 1, 2026, and said commission would expire on June 1, 2026. 3
