An Act to prohibit the enforcement and implementation of directives from the United 1
States Centers for Disease Control and intergovernmental organizations, and 2
to provide a penalty therefor. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 4
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 1-1: 5
No intergovernmental organization, including the United Nations, World Economic 6
Forum, or World Health Organization, has jurisdiction or power within this state. 7
No elected or appointed official or employee of this state, or of any political 8
subdivision of this state, may enforce or implement a rule, regulation, fee, tax, policy, or 9
mandate of any kind from the United Nations, World Economic Forum, World Health 10
Organization, or other intergovernmental organization. 11
A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor. 12
Section 2. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 1-1: 13
Notwithstanding any federal law or regulation, no elected or appointed official or 14
employee of this state, or of any political subdivision of this state, may enforce or 15
implement a rule, regulation, fee, tax, policy, or mandate of any kind from the United 16
States Centers for Disease Control issued after July 1, 2025. 17
A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor. 18
