An Act to require counties and municipalities to provide emergency medical services 1
within their jurisdictions. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 3
Section 1. That ยง 34-11-1 be AMENDED: 4
34-11-1. A county or municipality may: 5
(1) Provide or contract for the provision of ambulance services; and 6
(2) Contract with another political subdivision or other person for the provision of 7
moneys to support ambulance services 8
shall provide or contract with any person or political subdivision for the provision 9
of ambulance services within its jurisdiction. 10
