A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Congratulating the Watertown Arrows as the 1
2024 Class AA State girls' golf team champions. 2
WHEREAS, the Watertown Arrows in 2024 captured their first girls' golf team state 3
championship since 1979; and 4
WHEREAS, the Arrows secured the state championship with a total team score of six 5
hundred and forty-nine points over two rounds, edging out the competition; and 6
WHEREAS, the Arrows were led to victory by standout performances from Aspen Reynolds, 7
who led the team with a remarkable seventy -seven on the final day, and Shelby Pearson, 8
whose consistent play culminated in a score of seventy-eight; and 9
WHEREAS, Avery Palmquist and Gabi Olson also contributed significantly to the team’s 10
success, scoring eighty and eighty-one, respectively; 11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State 12
of South Dakota, that the Watertown Arrows are the 2024 Class AA State girls' team golf 13
champions. 14
