A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Congratulating the Watertown Arrows as the
2024 Class AA State girls' golf team champions.
WHEREAS, the Watertown Arrows in 2024 captured their first girls' golf team state
championship since 1979; and
WHEREAS, the Arrows secured the state championship with a total team score of six
hundred and forty-nine points over two rounds, edging out the competition; and
WHEREAS, the Arrows were led to victory by standout performances from Aspen Reynolds,
who led the team with a remarkable seventy -seven on the final day, and Shelby Pearson,
whose consistent play culminated in a score of seventy-eight; and
WHEREAS, Avery Palmquist and Gabi Olson also contributed significantly to the team’s
success, scoring eighty and eighty-one, respectively;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the One Hundredth Legislature of the State
of South Dakota, that the Watertown Arrows are the 2024 Class AA State girls' golf team
champions.
