An Act to authorize the South Dakota State Brand Board to enter a memorandum of 1
understanding with any Indian tribe for the investigation of cattle theft. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA: 3
Section 1. That a NEW SECTION be added to chapter 40-18: 4
The board may enter a memorandum of understanding, under the provisions of 5
chapter 1-24, with any federally recognized Indian tribe to cooperate in the investigation 6
of livestock theft on, and adjacent to, tribal lands, provided the tribal government 7
authorizes the memorandum. 8
