SUMMARY OF BILL: Requires, on or before December 31, 2025, the Executive Director
of the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) to submit to the Governor and the Chairs
of certain legislative committees, a report that includes an evaluation of the utilization, state financial
support, and student academic outcomes, for required discounts and waivers of the tuition and fees
charged at a public institution of higher education.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• THEC can conduct and submit the required report within existing resources.
• Any fiscal impact to THEC will be not significant.
