SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Statewide Planning and
Policy Council for the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (DMHSAS)
to June 30, 2029. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review Law, the council is
scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This legislation continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• According to the DMHSAS, the council’s expenditures were $11,100 in FY22-23 and
$11,600 in FY23-24.
