SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Tennessee Code Commission
(TCC) to June 30, 2033. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review Law, the commission is
scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025. Creates a new section of statute for the purpose of
establishing a sunset date for entities that will expire on June 30, 2033.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This legislation continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• According to the TCC, the commission’s expenditures were $4,548 in FY22-23 and $1,805
in FY23-24.
