SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Tennessee Historical
Commission to June 30, 2029. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review Law, the commission is
scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This bill continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• According to the Department of Environment and Conservation, the commission’s
expenditures were $26,071 in FY22-23 and $18,216 in FY23-24.
