SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Tennessee Peace Officer
Standards and Training Commission to June 30, 2031. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review
Law, the commission is scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This legislation continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• According to the Department of Commerce and Insurance, the commission’s expenditures
were $842,131 in FY22-23 and $1,217,019 in FY23-24.
