SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Transportation Modernization
Board to June 30, 2029. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review Law, the board is
scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This legislation continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• This Board was established by Public Chapter 159 of 2023, effective April 17, 2023.
• According to the Department of Transportation, the board had no expenditures in FY22-
23 or FY23-24.
