SUMMARY OF BILL:    Requires a healthcare provider, healthcare group, practice, or clinic, 
healthcare facility, or other entity contracted with one or more health insurance entities for 
reimbursement of submitted claims for the provision of health care or healthcare-related goods or 
services, to provide notice to each such health insurance entity as soon as practicable if the 
healthcare provider, healthcare group, practice, or clinic, healthcare facility, or other entity is the 
subject of a cyber-attack. 
 
 
FISCAL IMPACT: 
NOT SIGNIFICANT 
 
 Assumptions: 
 
• Requiring certain healthcare providers and entities to report to health insurance entities 
upon the occurrence of a cyber-attack will not have a significant impact on the operations 
of state or local government. 
• Any fiscal impact is estimated to be not significant. 
 
 
IMPACT TO COMMERCE: 
 
NOT SIGNIFICANT 
 
 Assumption: 
 
• Any impact to commerce or jobs in Tennessee will not be significant.
