Specifies that the prohibition does not apply to an office in a political party’s state executive committee. FISCAL IMPACT: NOT SIGNIFICANT Assumptions: • Pursuant to the proposed language, individuals holding more than one office on the effective date of the legislation may continue holding such offices until the terms expire. • Therefore, the proposed legislation will not result in the need for any special elections and will not result in an increase in state or local expenditures. • It is assumed that there will be no significant change in the number of individuals seeking office as a result of the proposed legislation.
