SUMMARY OF BILL: Requires each elementary and secondary school to post the toll-free
telephone number operated by the Department of Children's Services (DCS) to receive reports of
child abuse or neglect on the homepage of the school's website.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumption:
• Schools will be able to add the required telephone number to their websites within existing
resources, without a significant increase in local expenditures. Any impact on DCS’
operations will be not significant.
