Requires the study to be conducted with existing departmental resources. Requires the Commissioner to deliver the study’s findings and any legislative recommendations to the Chief Clerk of the Senate, the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives, and the Legislative Librarian no later than December 15, 2025. FISCAL IMPACT: NOT SIGNIFICANT Assumption: • According to the DCI, the study can be accomplished within existing resources, without a significant increase in state expenditures. Any fiscal impact to the DCI is estimated to be not significant. IMPACT TO COMMERCE: NOT SIGNIFICANT Assumption: • The proposed legislation will have no significant impact on jobs or commerce in Tennessee.
