SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the maximum amount of consecutive full terms a member
of the Board of Ground Water Management (Board) can serve, from two to three.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 69-10-107(a)(2), a member of the Board cannot serve more
than two consecutive full terms. The proposed legislation extends this limitation to three
consecutive terms.
• The proposed change only modifies term limits for the Board without changing
compensation, benefits, or administrative costs, resulting in no impact to state expenditures.
