FISCAL IMPACT: NOT SIGNIFICANT Assumptions: • Tennessee Code Annotated § 71-3-501(12) currently defines “related” as the children, step- children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, siblings of the whole or half-blood, step- siblings, nieces or nephews or foster children of the primary caregiver. • The proposed legislation will not result in any significant change in the number of licensed child-care agencies, and can be managed within existing Department of Human Services resources and personnel and without any significant fiscal impact.
