SUMMARY OF BILL: Changes the definition of “related” as it relates to child care
agencies, to include whole or half-blood nieces and nephews of the primary caregiver.

FISCAL IMPACT:

NOT SIGNIFICANT

 Assumptions:

siblings, nieces or nephews or foster children of the primary caregiver.
• The proposed legislation will not result in any significant change in the number of licensed
child-care agencies, and can be managed within existing Department of Human Services
